What goes into the ideal autumnal cup?

We started with a solid bean from Costa Rica. Then, we snagged a limited coffee from Yemen.

We roast the Costa Rican to a perfect medium and took the Yemen just a tad further to bring out those comforting chai spice and apple notes. The flavors of the Yemen combined with the smooth and gently acidic Costa Rican make this coffee a comforting cup for those crisp mornings.

Fall means many things for many people, but for us it represents change. Death is part of that process. The letting go of what we know and moving into another season can be painful, but equally beautiful when embraced. We must always see it as an opportunity to appreciate what we have and enjoy the process of letting go.

In the words of Friedrich Nietzsche,

“I notice that Autumn is more the season of the soul than of nature.”
